Mr. Allen Wang is the founder & CEO of Babytree. He is a visionary who founded Chinese parenting giant Babytree in 2007. After years of endeavour, by embracing mobile internet, Wang leads “Babytree Pregnancy” app to occupy a monopoly position in the market. His innovative “community + e-commerce” model allows Babytree’s e-commerce platform Meitun.com to be China's first profitable vertical e-commerce player in maternal and baby market. He unfolds Babytree’s new era in big health and knowledge share economy. Holding fast to his education dream for ten years, Wang initiates a new model of early-education in the community. Accessing 90% of the Chinese parents online, Babytree owns high-quality traffic, offering premium and diversified online and off-line products and services to parents. As the biggest maternal, baby and family portal in China and even the world, Babytree allows parents to acquire knowledge, share experience, make friends, create memories of their families as well as do shopping, on its one-of-a-kind comprehensive platform. Centering around consumption upgrade of young families, Babytree is dedicated to build a member club to provide a variety of premium services and products carefully selected from all over the world. At the meantime, Wang is proactive in the exercise of Babytree’s corporate social responsibility, advocating for the popularization of baby-care room, launching corporate day-care project, and devoting to public welfare for women, babies, and families.
Before Wang founder Babytree, he served as senior executive at multinational corporations such as McKinsey, P&G, Yahoo, and Google. He coined Google’s Chinese name. He is hornored as “A Chinese Internet legend” by the industry for his unique insights in management system, strategic thinking, precise analysis of the internet and the strategy of startups.

Wang holds a dual-degree in electrical engineering and English from Tsinghua University, a master’s degree in sociology from Columbia University and a MBA from Georgetown University.

Amy began her career in media and entertainment nationally and internationally.   After spending time in front of the camera as an actor and then a producer she identified a need in the industry for high-performance solutions to accelerate time to market for the production, and for the artist.  The demands of rendering, animation, and visual effects required a sophisticated approach to computing and processing.  Driven by her passion for high-performance technology she partnered with Dr. Srinidhi Varadarajan, who was uniquely qualified to help address the need.  Amy has been successful in building a team dedicated to providing the highest performance hardware and software solutions for its customers.  Amy has a passion for women in tech and presents frequently on topics around high-performance computing and visualization workloads.   Amy is a TEDx presenter and has presented for large partner events. 

Anne Y. Lee is a Bell Labs Fellow currently working on the Bell Labs CTO Technology Strategy and Architecture supporting the CTO and CEO by analyzing the evolution of key technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence) and the overall network architecture to identify new directions for the industry and the impact and requirements on the company’s portfolio. Prior to this, Anne was the CTO of IMS Innovations. In this role, she initiated and drove next-generation IP communications solutions such as WebRTC as well as worked on creating the vision and initiating the work for future IP communications. She has also previously worked in both the Wireless CTO and Wireline CTO organizations.
Anne has over 30 years of experience at Nokia (AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent, and Nokia) with more than 17 years in Wireless research and development. Anne is the recipient of the 2014 WebRTC Pioneer Award, the 2010 Alcatel-Lucent Asian American Award for “Innovation and Technical Excellence”, and the 2005 Lucent Chairman’s Award for “Creating IMS Leadership”. She is also a finalist for the 2015 Bell Labs President’s Award as part of the IMS Cloud Orchestration team. She has been Guest Editor for the Bell Labs Technical Journal and IEEE Communications Magazine. She has over 10 granted patents and multiple publications.
Ms. Lee has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago

Barry L. Shoop became Dean of the Albert Nerken School of Engineering in January 2019 after retiring as a Brigadier General from a 38-year career in the U.S. Army. For the last 25 years, he served in a number of key leadership roles at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point including Director of the Photonics Research Center, Director of the Electrical Engineering Program and most recently as Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. In this capacity, he was responsible for an undergraduate academic department with over 79 faculty and staff supporting Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited programs in electrical engineering, computer science, and information technology. The department engages over 2300 students annually and has three affiliated research centers including the Cyber Research Center, Photonics Research Center and the Robotics Research Center.
Earlier in his career, he was a satellite communication engineer responsible for the design and installation of a high-capacity, global digital communication network, and also the Chief Technology Officer for a US$4.5B organization addressing the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) challenge worldwide.
Dr. Shoop received the B.S. degree from the Pennsylvania State University and Ph.D. from Stanford University, both in electrical engineering. His research interests include optical information processing, neural networks, image processing, disruptive innovations and educational pedagogy. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the Optical Society of America (OSA) and the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE) and a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Eta Kappa Nu, and Sigma Xi. He has served on the Board of Directors of OSA, ABET and IEEE. In 2016 Dr. Shoop served as the IEEE President and CEO. In 2008, OSA recognized him with their Robert E. Hopkins Leadership Award and, in 2013, he received both the SPIE Educator Award and the IEEE Haraden Pratt Award. Dr. Shoop holds a patent on photonic analog-to-digital conversion and has authored over 150 archival publications as well as 8 books and book chapters. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA.

Dr. Bimba Rao has close to 20 years of experience in R&D and product development in healthcare and the medical device industry. She currently heads the global Artificial Intelligence engineering team at Siemens Healthineers Ultrasound. She is focused on applying the latest innovations in AI to imaging system reliability, usability and automation. Bimba has led teams in successfully delivering signal processing and image processing algorithms for image guidance of surgical procedures. She has a Ph.D. from Duke University in electrical engineering.

Carla Bailo is a leader in engineering and vehicle program management with 35 years of experience in the automotive industry. Under Carla’s leadership, CAR continues to be a preeminent resource of objective and unbiased research, analysis, and information regarding the North American automotive industry.
Carla is the 2016-2018 vice president of automotive for SAE International, a global association of more than 138,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle industries.
Prior to joining CAR, Carla was most recently the assistant vice president for mobility research and business development at The Ohio State University. Carla also has 25 years of experience at Nissan North America, Inc., where she served as senior vice president of research and development. She also spent 10 years at General Motors. She has a MS degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and a BS degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University.

David is responsible for all aspects of the Fund’s activities including responsible investment of the Fund’s endowment; budgeting, planning and resource management; recruiting, developing and retaining top talent; and directing all of these resources to advance the Fund’s mission.
David previously served as the Fund’s Vice President of Programs. He has also held senior positions with The Nature Conservancy, USEPA, and state environmental protection agencies. He has negotiated international conservation agreements, testified as an expert witness in environmental litigation, designed new conservation and environmental protection programs, and drafted environmental laws and regulations. His environmental science degree was earned at Miami University. His Masters in Business Administration was awarded with High Honors from the University of Chicago.

Dr. Dawn Jutla is Chief Executive Officer of Peer Ledger, a blockchain company targeting primarily Pharma, Healthcare, and Government sectors. Her other hats are as the Scotiabank Professor, and founder/director of the graduate Technology Entrepreneurship & Innovation program at Saint Mary’s University. Dawn received her Master and PhD degrees in Computer Science on the topics of distributed systems and access control protocols from the Technical University of Nova Scotia. She has expertise in designing blockchain applications, privacy and security, and business and technology strategy and management. Her company has implemented a SAFE-Bio Pharma standards-compliant Blockchain Identity Translation (BIT) platform for system administrators and software developers to manage user identities, strong multi-factor authentication, unification, delegation, and portable identity services in a secure Peer Wallet for both mobile and web. Dawn currently sits on the Board of Directors at the OASIS Open international standards organization, and on the Board of the IWK Health Centre.

Huei Peng received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1992. He is now a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. He currently serves as the Director of Mcity, which studies connected and autonomous vehicle technologies and promotes their deployment. His research interests include adaptive control and optimal control, with emphasis on their applications to vehicular and transportation systems. His current research focuses include design and control of electrified vehicles, and connected/automated vehicles.
He served as the US Director of the DOE sponsored Clean Energy Research Center—Clean Vehicle Consortium, which supports more than 30 research projects related to the development of clean vehicles in the US and in China.
He has served as the PI or co-PI of more than 60 research projects, with a total funding of more than 60 million dollars. He has more than 300 technical publications, including 150 in referred journals and transactions and four books. His h-index is 76 according to the Google scholar analysis. The total number of citations to his work is more than 21,500. He believes in setting high expectation and helping students to exceed it by selecting innovative research topics with high impact. One of his proudest achievements is that more than half of his Ph.D. students have each published at least one paper cited more than 100 times.
Huei Peng has been an active member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He is both an SAE fellow and an ASME Fellow. He is a ChangJiang Scholar at the Tsinghua University of China.

Debby Bezzina holds a BS in electrical engineering, an MBA, and program management professional certification (PMP). Ms. Bezzina has over thirty years of experience in the automotive industry, and has served as a program manager for eighteen years. She served as Visteon’s program manager on two USDOT-funded field operational tests of automotive advanced-safety-systems research (road departure crash warning FOT and integrated vehicle based safety systems FOT). Prior to Visteon, Debby worked at General Motors on vehicle control modules and audio in the Truck Group, and Ford Motor Company in the Engine Design Division. She was the senior program manager for the Safety Pilot Model Deployment and at present is the senior program manager for the Ann Arbor Connected Vehicle Test Environment at UMTRI.

Jason is Head of Global IoT at the Whirlpool Corporation with responsibility of both strategy and delivery across all categories, brands and markets.
Over his +15 career, he has gained leadership experiences in product development, category management, marketing, finance and strategy.
Prior to Whirlpool, he worked in management consulting and has worked in retail, automotive, and consumer product goods sectors.
He received his MBA from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan (his proud hometown city) and also serves on the Yummly Advisory Board.

At Econolite, Kirk is responsible for leading the Company’s Transportation Systems Group, including its subsidiary CAVita.

Prior to joining Econolite, Mr. Steudle was director of the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) since 2006, overseeing MDOT’s over $4.7 billion-dollar budget, and was responsible for the construction, maintenance, and operation of nearly 10,000 miles of Michigan’s highways and more than 4,000 highway bridges at a department with 2,700 employees.

Mr. Steudle is a nationally recognized leader in the development of Connected and Automated Vehicle Technologies (CAV), and is the President and CEO of the American Center for Mobility (ACM), a role he will continue through CAVita. ACM is a purpose-built facility for testing, developing, and validating CAV vehicles at Willow Run Michigan airport. He was also the 2014-2015 Chair for the ITS America Board of Directors. He is a member of the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Program Advisory Committee to the USDOT. Steudle is a Past President of AASHTO and Chairs the Standing Committee on Highways. He was a 2014 member of the National Research Council for the National Academy of Science and the 2014 Chair of the TRB Executive Committee. He also chaired the second Strategic Highway Research Program Oversight Committee (SHRP 2) for TRB.

Mr. Steudle is a graduate of Lawrence Technological University, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering. He also serves on the College of Engineering Advisory Board and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2012.
